Finally, a single source for the fundamentals Rating:
5 / 5
I recommend this to anyone who needs a solid grounding in networking. This book clarifies the major networking technologies plus others I'd never even heard of! DSL, Cable, Fixed Wireless, 3G, WiFi, Satellite, Phoneline, Powerline, FTTx Digital Transmission, Frame Relay, Gigabit Ethernet, LRE, WDM/DWDM, MPLS, ATM, SONET, Content Delivery. Good content.
This book delivers a lot more than the title suggests Rating:
5 / 5
I bought the book hoping to get a grasp on broadband, what it means and the different solutions. I was pleasantly surpised when I realized that it not only answered the questions I had, but it provided a lot more information from home based to wide area solutions. I also found the style very readable and not filled with the typical techno jargon. Great stuff.
Excellent review of different Broadband Technologies Rating:
5 / 5
A very solid grounding on current and emerging broadband technologies written in a way that is easy to understand.
