A sweet twist on an old tale Rating:
5 / 5
This updated, cowboy take on the old Cinderella story is a sweet twist on an old tale. As a teacher I use this book in a thematic unit on Cinderella stories. You can find a wide assortment of these books at your library but a few that you may want to check out are "Muffaro's Beautiful Daughters", "Yeh-Shen", and "Little Gold Star". Kindergartners and first graders will understand and be able to compare and contrast the stories. Older students can do Venn diagrams, reader's theater, and character analysis.
Parents can also read several different fairy tales. Ask questions such as "How is Bubba like Yeh-Shen?" and "How are they different?"
If you can read this without a Texas drawl I would be surprised. It's almost infectious! This is a sweet story that your whole family.....or your classroom will enjoy.
A Wonderful revision of the classic Cinderella Story! Rating:
5 / 5
My entire family love to read this book. My mother bought it for my son at age 4. When my husband and I read it to our son and daughter the can't help but to laugh and enjoy the story. You can't help but to read the book with a southern/western draw because it makes the story more interesting. I would strongly recommend this for any family to add to their home library.
Bubba the Cowboy Prince Rating:
5 / 5
This a great fractured fairy tale. Its fun to read outloud! Every age could like this book.
