Complete and easy to use Rating:

I've been using this dictionary since I began learning to speak Spanish in the early 1990s, and since then it has found a permanent position on my desk.
An important thing to remember with a language-to-language dictionary is that you're not looking up definitions, but rather synonyms in another language. For this reason the accuracy and completeness is important. This dictionary does a good job of accounting for mulitple definitions and uses of individual words in both languanges, and goes some of the way in outlining phrases.
The layout is easy on the eyes, and there is also a very useful section in the middle between the Spanish and English sides on Spanish grammar.
I looked at many. Definately the best out there. Big though Rating:

I looked and looked before I bought this dictionary. I was looking for thoroughness primarily. This one has that. I also liked the typeface used with the entries being somewhat larger than typical for a dictionary this vast and nicely done in a clearly readable bold print; makes it very easy to use.
As many others have mentioned, it really is quite thick and heavy. So much so that if your going to be hauling this around alot you might want to consider something with either a smaller typeface of fewer entries. It claims to have 70,000 words and 1,376 pages, just to give you an idea.
