Loved It! Rating:
5 / 5
Hi, I'm 11 years old and I know this book is for like 3 year olds, however, I loved it! My five year old sister liked it too! Even my 13 year old neighbor is obsessed with it. I know all kids-at-heart will love this heart warming story about crayons that learn to live together in harmony through a five year old girl that buys the crayons at the toy store. It is a great book, with a great message, and great pictures. I really hope, on behalf of all the kids that love it, and the publishers, that you click the mouse and buy this excellent piece of children's writing and enjoy it for years to come. :)

I use this story with just about every adult and youth group I speak to. I use it to build upon our diversity and how if we all get together (as the crayons do in the book) the picture is complete. This is a MUST BUY if you work with any age group. The story is so simple, yet powerful.
One of my favorites! Rating:

I frequently use books to teach lessons (in an indirect way) to students. My area of expertise is teaching students with disabilities. For the individuals that I teach, it is important to make them think about issues -- rather than "telling" them what to think. This books lends itself to some great discussions. Recently a friend of mine used it with members of the Student Council at our high school -- they LOVED it!!! A must have...(along with Giraffes Can't Dance). J. Michael Woods, M.Ed.
