One Dough, Fifty Cookies : Baking Favorite And Festive Cookies In A Snap
Book: One Dough, Fifty Cookies : Baking Favorite And Festive Cookies In A Snap

Not a single failure...and all easy!
Rating: 5 / 5
This little book is worth every penny. Don't judge it by its size (it's tiny), because it really packs a huge number of tasty cookies into one small space! There is one "master" cookie dough recipe to which various things are added to make everything from basic shortbreads to gingerbreads to chocolate chip cookies to thin, espresso-chocolate crisps.

Since each "master dough" recipe makes enough for two full recipes of cookies, making party cookies or cookies for presents is easy. And if you don't want to make so many cookies at once, the dough freezes well so that you can make fresh cookies at the spur of the moment!

I own probably 15 cookbooks for baking desserts, but when I want something fast and delicious, this is the one I go for every time.

A great holiday time-saver
Rating: 4 / 5
I bought this book to prepare a variety of cookies for an annual holiday gathering. Because all the recipes begin with the same dough, I was able to make and bake all the treats in one afternoon and freeze them for the party the following weekend. None of my guests knew that the cookies had such similar beginnings, and everyone raved about them. I'm not sure I will try every recipe in the book, but a few of them are now my "tried-and-true" favorites for cookie swaps and parties.

A must have for anyone in the bake sale set
Rating: 5 / 5
This is a great book for anyone who is frequently called on for those PTO bakesales or fellowship hour at church. I also like how easy it is to make a variety of cookies for those Christmas Teacher/Friend gifts. The dough also freezes very well for those last minute desserts or cookies to bring to an event. A must have for anyone with a stand mixer in their kitchen.
