My 2 year old class LOVES this book. we had to play it about 3 times a day the week of holloween and they begged for it every day since. i finally brought the book back this week while we did the letter P. again it was a week of 3 times a day for this book.
my students range from 23 months to 3 years and they all equally love this book. they way it's written and the pictures and especially the way it's read on tape is cute and attention grabbing.
i would buy this book for all my family and friends' children

My kids love this story. I do different voices for the characters. They especially like the vampire. The story introduces these Halloween characters cooperating and eating pie. Not scary at all

I just purchased this book for my 3-year-old and he absolutely adores it. Probably because he can relate to the size of the pumpkin!
One of our pumpkins (her name is Hortense) that we are growing in our backyard is 4 feet around, about 60 pounds, and is still growing! We go outside every day so he can say "hello" to her.
The artistic rendering of the illustrations done by Schindler is wonderful and the characters are very appealing to youngsters. I just love the "mummy" (who is female and that is a very nice twist) and the bat eating pie.
Overall, my kids love the book and I love the book. This makes it easier when one is asked to read it over and over and over and over again!
