Baby Catcher : Chronicles of a Modern Midwife
Book: Baby Catcher : Chronicles of a Modern Midwife
Written by: Peggy Vincent
Publisher: Scribner
Average Customer Rating: 5.0 / 5

I feel like I have birthed a baby myself
Rating: 5 / 5
This book is so interesting and descriptive, that with each story I felt like I was watching the births while standing in a corner of the room. I have never had a baby, but after reading about Peggy's experiences, I feel like I truly know what it looks like, sounds like, feels like, smells and even tastes like to have a baby. Way to go Peggy! I feel like I know you as a friend because you pour yourself out through the pages. Thanks for a great piece of work!

Read it in two sittings - it's that good!
Rating: 5 / 5
I will be giving birth in four months and I found this infomration invaluable. I am still absorbing it and will probally read it again.
I am sending it to a friend who is considering midwifery.
Excellent.

A great lift-me-up before giving birth
Rating: 5 / 5
If you're worried by all those books about risks in child birth, read this wonderful collection of stories to see the beauty of birth. While the author definitely believes in homebirth, any expecting parent (both moms and dads, and regardless of where they are planning to give birth) can enjoy the book's positive vibes.
