i'm going to buy this for christmas presents!
Rating: 4 / 5
how many times have i looked in the refrigerator and wondered what i could possibly fix for dinner? i could already hear the kids---tuna casserole, again? what about chicken? could i bake it with italian dressing again and feel excited about it? this is the cookbook for which i have been hunting. all i have to do is look up "tuna" and there are ten new, quick, and good ways to serve it. chicken thighs the cheapest chicken to buy? look under chicken thighs and there's caesar corn crunch chicken, spicy bbq chicken, pizza parmigiana chicken, and, sure enough, chicken thighs with italian dressing. now i know my kids will eat what's in this book and, maybe, i can get them to try something new.

Best Practical Cookbook You'll Ever Read
Rating: 5 / 5
How often do you find a cookbook in which absolutely every recipe tastes good? This book contains only easy-to-make dishes, using readily available ingredients--none of those obscure items and wierd tastes nobody likes anyway. On the other hand, the ideas in this book are not boring at all, and incorporate influences from international cuisines. The book is organized alphabetically by food items (e.g., cauliflower, chicken wings, chicken, cooked, corn, etc.). The author is health-conscious and enormously capable. You'll use this book constantly! An outstanding buy.

Revolutionary!

I used to love cooking when I had time. Now, with a busy career, I come home and the last thing I want to do is plan an intricate meal. I was bored cooking the usual pork chops and chicken, but with this book and a short shopping list of fairly banal items, you can whip something wonderful up in 10 minutes. The simplicity of the recipes is what appeals - no complicated sauces or cooking methods, just straight forward, non-nonsense, yet imaginative receipes. I never use any other book now. In fact, my book is covered with stains, I have used it so much. I am now buying it for my Mum!
