A Really Sweet Manga
Rating: 5 / 5
"Kodocha" was one of the first manga I ever read, but it remains one of my favorites. The characters are my favorite thing about it, but the story and art are excellent too.

The main characters in "Kodocha" are Sana Kurata and Akito Hayama. Sana is a child actress. She is an energetic, cheerful, and sometimes dense, sixth grader. She wants everyone to be as happy as she is, so she tries to help people out. Akito is the class bully. He really seems like a jerk at first, but there's more to his personality than meets the eye.

The story is a little predictable, but it didn't make any difference to me. It was still just as sweet. Sana finally gets tired of Akito bullying her friends, so she decides to do something about it. But when she does, she finds out more about him than she wanted to know. You can see where this is going. But I really do love the romance in this manga. The characters are kids, so it's innocent. At first, they won't even admit to being friends, but they get each other through a lot of tough times. I think that's the purest kind of love there is. But now I'm rambling.

So, the art is really well done. It's shoujo style. The characters are very nice to look at. They have large expressive eyes, and there's a lot of attention to detail. The backgrounds are also nice. A lot of detail here, too.

If you're the kind of person who likes romance between rivals/friends, you're going to love "Kodocha". It's great for fans of romance in general, really. This one of the best shoujo titles out, there, you should really give it a look.

best manga i have ever read!!
Rating: 5 / 5
I first read kodocha after one of my good friends loaned it to me, telling me that i would love it. I had never read manga before, so i didnt think i would like it at all...turns out i was wrong! I read the whole kodocha series, and then read them twice more before i could give the books back to my friend. Akito is the class bully, and finally sana snaps. She wants to be able to do her schoolwork, but akito and the other boys prevent the teacher and rest of the class from getting anything done. Sana challenges akito's authority, and gets her butt kicked! Later in the book she finds a way to strike back. Akito finally has to listen to her, but soon after more problems arise. i loved these books and highly recommend them!!!

Kodocha rules, by Caitlin Griffin
Rating: 5 / 5
I totally think Kodocha is one of the best manga books I have ever read!! It is amazingly funny, but not so light that it gets boring to read. It combines just the rigt amount of romance and childishness. Throughout the whole series the characters change a lot in the way they act and think. The book is fairly esey to relate to which is so fun! I would like to reccomend this book to people who like Tokyo Mew Mew, Girl Got Game, Ranma 1/2, and Marmalade Boy. I know that you will like the book!!!
